An exceptional aged white tea selected to embody the quiet refinement of the Metal Element. Mudan Wang - Peony King - represents the highest grade of Bai Mudan. Our current tea was harvested and sun-dried in spring 2023 and has since been allowed to mature, developing greater aromatic complexity while retaining the beautiful delicacy of white tea. Crafted from carefully selected buds with only one or two young leaves, it reveals a soft floral foundation layered with intriguing notes that develop as the leaves unfurl. We chose this extraordinary tea for Metal - the Element associated with autumn, reflection, refinement and the gentle art of letting go. A tea for quiet contemplation, beautiful endings and new beginnings.
